Q. How long have you been teaching at Coe?
A. Just over 15 years now

Q. What is this year's musical and who is it starring?
A. We are preparing a production of Moana Jr., and the cast is comprised of 3rd, 4th and 5th grade students from the musical theatre club. Jael is playing Young Moana, Orianna is playing Moana and Vaeda is playing Gramma Tala. Gideon is going to be our demigod Maui.

Q. What are your favorite things to do?
A. When I am not teaching, I like to spend my time in nature. Working in my garden or walking in Discovery Park. I also like to attend live concerts as much as possible.

Q. What is your favorite lesson to teach classes?
A. I love teaching students how to act. Our drama activities are always a lot of fun.

Q. As a child what did you want to be?
A. I thought of being a pilot, but I was always interested in teaching. I was a summer camp counselor and I taught swimming when I was a teenager. But, I didn’t become a teacher until I was 38.
​
Q. Who did you look up to as a child?
A. My dance teacher was inspiring to me.
​
Q. Have you played in any musicals and if so which ones?
A. I have played Bye Bye Birdie, The Sound of Music, and Gypsie.

Q. What was your favorite subject in school as a kid?
A. Math and Visual arts were my favorite.
