MLK And Black History Month

                                                                          Black History Month

Black history month starts February 1 to March 1. Black history is important because it honors all Black people from all periods of U.S. history. From the enslaved people first brought over from Africa in the early 17th century to African Americans living in the United States today.

Martin Luther King Jr. was born in Atlanta Georgia in the year 1929. When Martin grew up, he became a minister. Later MLK and his wife Coretta lead marches against segregation. Martin traveled to Tennessee to lead a protest. On April 4th, 1968, Martin was shot and killed.
