Wi(t)ch came first?

Tom and Bob were at the beach. The last time they were at the beach, Tom made a witch sculpture and Bob saw it. They both LOVE Wicked and Bob complimented Tom’s witch. The two became friends and the next day, watched the new Wicked movie together. This time, they were taking a walk. Tom was telling Bob about when he ate an orange and got food poisoning.

“Then I ran to the bathroom and I was there for two hours!” Tom exclaimed. Bob made a disgusted face and gagged. Then he thought of a question.

“Which one came first, the color orange or the fruit orange?” Bob asked. Tom almost got startled at the question. He never thought of it that way before.

  “I think the color,” he said carefully. Because if it was the fruit, then they wouldn't know what color it was in the first place.” Tom explained. “Maybe what happened was the color was discovered, then the founder of the fruit was lazy, so he named it orange.” 

“Wow,” said Bob, astonished. Then he thought of a time when he got chased around by a chicken. He told the story to Tom, who laughed a lot at the situation. Then Tom thought of a question.

“Which one came first, the chicken or the egg?” He asked.

Bob thought carefully about this. “The egg, because how could a chicken appear out of nowhere? They have to be an egg first!”  Bob pointed out. Tom thought of another idea.

“Or, they could have evolved from dinos,” he said. 

“Good idea,” said Bob. He looked at the time. 

“Want to go to my house?” he asked Tom. “I'm hosting a Wicked party tonight with my other friends. Want to come?”

“Sure, but I need to stop at my house first. Meet you at 4.” Tom walked back to his house and opened the fridge. He was famished after the walk. He only had an orange and some leftover chicken.

“Screw this,” Tom thought. "I'll just eat at Bob’s house.” and with that, he went out the door and set off to Bob’s house.
