Q: Who is your favorite author?
A: My favorite author for picture books is Mack Barnett and for chapter books Katherine Rundell.
Q: How do you pick books to recommend to kids who don’t know what to read?
A: I try to match the book with the kid's interest.
Q: What would you say for kids who want to be an author?
A: I would say three things. Look for ideas around you, write a book you would like to read, and write every day.
Q: What do you like to do in your free time?
A: I like to read, swim, and go for walks with my friends and family.
Q: How do you feel about the kids that you taught in kindergarten leave Coe for 6th grade?
A: I always feel excited for them and sad for myself.
Q: What are a couple of your favorite books to read at home?
A: A couple of my favorite books to read at home are called When You Reach Me by Rebecca Stead a chapter book, New Kid by Jerry Craft a graphic novel, and Nomau Didn’t Do It! (Yes, He Did) by Ryau T. Higgins a picture book.
