Salt and Straw, the Inside Scoop

Did you know a new ice cream shop has come to Queen Anne? It is named Salt and Straw. The location of the new Salt and Straw is at the corner of Queen Anne Avenue and Boston Street.

What makes Salt and Straw so good? They have an exciting and festive ambiance, but the best part is the menu!

Their top three best sellers are sea salt with caramel ribbons, chocolate chip cookie dough and chocolate gooey brownie. Sea salt with caramel ribbons was the first flavor ever made.

Their craziest flavors ever are bone marrow, potato salad and a turkey stuffing flavor, which comes out next month. If that was not enough, new limited-edition flavors come out every month on the first friday, and last all month long before the next delicious release.

Did you know that they have their own version of a taco? It is called the Tacolate. Instead of a corn taco shell, it is a waffle cone shell filled with cinnamon ice cream coated in hard chocolate. I tried it, and it was good but very small. It comes with little packets of “hot sauce" made in partnership with Taco Bell. I thought it was going to be disgusting, but it turned out to be jam.
