The Time Capsule

At Coe Elementary in 2037, there were 5 kids. Their names were Emily, Fiona, Nancy, Harry, and Peter. They were in Mr. White’s second grade class, in room 206. Their principal's name was Ms. Hayes, and she was super nice, but very strict. One day, their lives changed, and they would remember that day forever. 

It all started when the girls decided to prank the boys. They would find a wooden box and fill it with fool's gold. They would bury it in a place that nobody would see and tell the boys to do a digging contest. The girls would be judges, and the boys would dig with their hands. When they convinced the boys to do the contest, they said, 

“Let's go to the place near the monkey bars! It has less, erm, people!”  

The boys agreed and they walked to the monkey bars. All the while, the girls were giggling. The boys raised their eyebrows at each other and muttered, “Girls”. When they finally got there, Nancy pulled out a stopwatch. “3,2,1, GO!” The boys started to dig. After 18.3 seconds, Peter shouted, “I hit something!” The girls looked at each other and screamed, “Show us!”  But when Peter did, something was wrong. The box wasn't wood! It was a type of material that they had never seen before. Harry said, “It's a time capsule!” Peter said that there were dinosaurs in it. The girls were too excited to speak. Mr. White came over and said, "What do you have there?” Harry showed him the time capsule and told him how they found it. 

“Ahhh.” Mr. White said, sounding worried. "Be careful with that capsule Harry! If you drop it, you'll be sorry!” He exclaimed. He then walked away, looking scared. 

“That was odd!” Emily said curiously. Just then the bell rang and they all jumped up. Peter banged against Harry and he dropped the capsule. 

“Peter!” Fiona moaned. “Sorry!” Peter said apologetically. The ground started to shake, and the floor began to moan. The world started to get blurry and there was a purple vortex around them.  

“AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!” They screamed. Peter was still screaming sorry when all of a sudden, the world stopped. 

“Where are we?” Nancy asked.
